
Tax Senior

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Senior to join their Jericho, NY office.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals (Form 1040), corporations (Form 1120), partnerships (Form 1065), and trusts (Form 1041)
Manage a portfolio of clients, serve as a primary point of contact for tax inquiries, gather required information, and build strong relationships
Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to help minimize liabilities and optimize financial strategies
Perform in-depth tax research to address complex issues, stay current on legislation, and communicate findings clearly
Supervise and mentor junior staff and interns, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to firm standards
Resolve client and firm matters related to IRS and other tax authority inquiries and audits
Collaborate with audit and accounting teams to deliver comprehensive client service and resolve issues
Identify and implement improvements to tax workflows and processes to enhance efficiency
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Tax experience from public accounting
Experience with federal, state, and local income tax forms
Experience working on multiple clients simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CPA preferred
