Job Overview
Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic. This role performs heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision, receiving on-the-job training in a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status.
Responsibilities
Perform and/or assist in general mechanical duties.
Gain experience working on engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance with minimal supervision.
Work on major components with close supervision.
Perform troubleshooting on minor problems.
Attend training sessions and meetings.
Maintain a neat and orderly working area and properly handle company tools.
Advise the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
Follow safe work practices and procedures, use safety equipment when required, respond to suggestions for safe work and seek assistance when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
CDL preferred.
Minimum three years hands‑on experience or graduation from vocational courses.
A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
