Description The Assistant Director of Admissions will play a key role in the recruitment, evaluation, retention, and enrollment of mission-appropriate students and families, contributing to the overall strategic goals of the school.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Director of Admissions to design and execute a mission‑aligned, data‑informed enrollment strategy.

Serve as a primary contact for prospective families, guiding them through every stage of the admissions process.

Manage the full application cycle, including scheduling tours, interviews, and student assessments.

Conduct student and parent interviews; document and evaluate applicant readiness and fit.

Plan and implement admissions and yield events (Open Houses, info sessions, revisit programs).

Maintain accurate records and admissions data using the school’s enrollment management system (e.g., Blackbaud).

Collaborate with Communications/Marketing to promote the school, support branding, and develop recruitment materials and digital content.

Coordinate with faculty and staff to ensure smooth candidate visits, assessments, and communication.

Support initiatives that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment and admissions practices.

Represent the school at fairs, feeder schools, and community outreach events.

Participate in admissions committee review and decision‑making.

Assist with re‑enrollment and retention strategies to support long‑term enrollment stability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

3–5 years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, or a related field, preferably in an independent school.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Proven ability to build strong, positive relationships with prospective families, students, and colleagues.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience with admissions/enrollment management systems (e.g., Ravenna, Veracross, Blackbaud, or similar).

High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of admissions and school events.

Kingsley is committed to equitable compensation for all faculty. Salaries are determined based on an experience‑based step scale, ensuring fair pay for those with similar experience. The salary band for this role is expected to range from $61,000–$80,000.
