
Cash Vault Lead Teller

Empyreal Logistics is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in the role of Cash Vault Lead Teller. Position Summary: Process cash deposits and provide change fulfillment services while ensuring accuracy and excellent customer service for all customers. This role values not only what work gets done but also how it gets done. The Cash Vault Lead Teller works at a cash processing center rather than a branch office, allowing focus on efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
Acts as a role model and reliable, consistent resource for other Cash Vault Tellers.
Exhibits a professional, polite demeanor in interactions, courtesy, and uniform standards.
Safely operates cash processing equipment and keeps equipment in good working order.
Notifies the manager of delays, issues, unusual circumstances, and other important information in a timely manner.
Prepares currency/coin orders and processes marijuana-related business currency and coin orders.
Ensures accurate count and tracking of all vault assets.
Provides oversight of Cash Vault Tellers.
Communicates any issues, concerns, or problems to their direct report immediately.
Ensures team members follow operating procedures.
Is responsible for operations of the vault room when the Supervisor is absent.
Enforces team members’ compliance with safety regulations.
Checks over deposit tickets, audits, and clears for end of day.
Trains new employees and retrains existing employees as needed.
Maintains vault consumable supply levels.
Completes all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Fills in for team members and assists as needed to meet operating requirements.
Notifies appropriate managers of any operating issues and discrepancies.
Recommends scheduling options to Supervisor.
Communicates personnel issues to management.
Understands different requirements of opening vs. closing shift.
Manages discrepancies/offences (one per quarter).
Provides overrides up to $30,000 (dual verification by two people only).
Ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
Maintains a clean and orderly teller processing area.
Communicates positively in a team‑oriented work environment both in person and by phone.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Follows Standard Operating Procedures, adheres to dual verification requirements, and complies with regulatory requirements.
Adheres to the Empyreal Credit Card Policy.
Adheres to Empyreal's travel policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
One or more years of teller, cash vault teller, cage cashier, or equivalent cash handling experience is preferred.
Excellent math skills and accuracy are required.
Must be able to use a computer and other cash processing equipment.
Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity are of utmost importance.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting 30 pounds and sometimes up to 50 pounds, as needed.
Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workstation to another.
Pushing or pulling.
Reaching overhead, and at or below shoulder level.
Use of keyboard and mouse.
Repeating motions, which includes the wrist, hands, and or fingers.
Stoop, crouch, or kneel.
Near visual acuity.
Use of stairs.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
