Staff Product Designer
to join our global AI team and lead the design of both
applied AI experiences
that transform the way employees work and the
platform components
that make it easier for developers to build with AI.
What you’ll be doing
Own the end‑to‑end design of
applied AI use cases
– from exploration and ideation to prototypes and polished experiences.
Shape the
developer experience
for our
Agentic AI platform , designing components, patterns, and workflows that accelerate AI adoption.
Partner with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define how AI‑powered features should look, feel, and function.
Translate complex AI capabilities (LLMs, RAG pipelines, agent frameworks) into
clear, human‑centered experiences .
Build and evolve
design systems and reusable patterns
for AI experiences across Okta.
Mentor other designers, sharing best practices for designing with emerging AI technologies.
Work closely with India‑ and US‑based teams as part of one
global design and engineering effort .
What you’ll bring to the role
8+ years of product design experience, including significant time working on
complex enterprise applications
or AI/ML‑driven products.
A strong portfolio that demonstrates
human‑centered design solutions
for technical or ambiguous problem spaces.
Expertise in
interaction design, UX, and prototyping ; ability to simplify complex workflows into elegant solutions.
Experience designing for
developer platforms or technical tools
is a strong plus.
Comfort with collaborating with engineers and product managers on cutting‑edge AI use cases.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence design direction across global teams.
Passion for shaping how AI is experienced in secure, enterprise‑ready environments.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area: $179,000 – $224,000 USD. Total rewards include equity (where applicable), bonus, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave.
