Specialist - Consumer Loan

The Consumer Loan Specialist supports the lending process by accurately and efficiently processing consumer loan applications from start to finish. This role is responsible for gathering and validating all information required to process consumer loan requests, in accordance with guidelines, for a wide range of consumer loan types to include unsecured and secured loans and credit cards. Provides support to the members, to move the loan request to closing. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
Conducts a comprehensive final review of the loan in accordance with underwriting approval, credit guidelines, and funding requirements while validating data in all required systems.Recognize and resolve challenges early in the process to ensure accuracy and to provide a seamless member experience. **Minimum Qualifications:** **Education:** **Experience:** One to Two years of experience in loan processing, banking, or financial services (preferred). **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** Detailed oriented, quality and precision focused, the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational and time management skillsStrong communication and organizational skillsConsistent professional communication and member service abilities Ability to work within the established Service Level Agreements set by management Ability to work independently and responsibly adheres to credit union guidelines and proceduresAbility to after normal business hours or weekends if the need arises.While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
