Organization Development

Job Summary Digital & Direct Marketing (DDM) is a multifaceted fundraising team with both programmatic fundraising goals executed through direct mail and digital campaigns as well as functional responsibilities to support the digital marketing needs of the Development team at large. This is accomplished through data analysis, thoughtful and strategic donor communications, content development and well-integrated multichannel fundraising avenues that include direct mail, email, social media crowdfunding, and peer‑to‑peer fundraising. The Project Manager’s primary role will be to execute digital fundraising and marketing tactics for both the programmatic and functional responsibilities of the DDM team. A large portion of this work will be carried out on the Adobe Marketo Engage platform to support internal client initiatives across the Development department under the supervision of the Director, Digital Marketing & Email Automation.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist the Director, Digital Marketing & Email Automation with email strategy and execution for internal stakeholder campaigns and events based on audience and objectives.

Become proficient within the Marketo email platform for VUMC Development, including building emails within the Marketo workspace and pulling campaign performance reports.

Collaborate with the Community & Corporate Relations team to support upcoming fundraising campaigns and events across digital platforms, utilizing social media, online giving and email strategy.

Assist the direct response team with email builds for integrated fundraising campaigns contributing to the bottom‑line revenue numbers for Digital and Direct Marketing efforts.

Update online giving pages hosted on Classy.org for campaigns across the department.

Collaborate with the Associate Director, Digital Marketing & Fundraising Strategy on social media strategy for the Development department. Assist with monthly posting schedule, curating and repurposing content, and reporting on performance analytics.

Act as a member of a cross‑functional team of development and marketing professionals to ensure effective and appropriate integration of content, communications deliverables, and donor outreach.

Collaborate with colleagues to create and execute an annual operating plan with personal responsibility for a set of tactics and goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) – Required

2 years experience – Required

Knowledge of digital platforms (email marketing, automation, peer‑to‑peer giving, website design, social media, HTML code) – Preferred

Email marketing experience – Must

Adobe Marketo Engage experience – Preferred

Strong project management skills and ability to work on multiple campaigns and projects at once under tight deadlines.

Superb oral and written communication skills.

Ability to maintain a productive and collaborative working relationship with partners across Development team and the Medical Center at large.

Maintain a successful hybrid work environment; be available for in‑person responsibilities as needed.

Employment Type Full‑time position.

Evening and weekend work as needed.
