Position Summary Mohawk Global seeks a team of entry‑level Sales Development Associates to drive new business acquisition for our various business units. These sales‑hunter roles are 100% focused on new client generation across the following territories: Buffalo, NY; Cleveland, OH; Atlanta, GA; and Northern NJ/New York City.
Temporary relocation to Syracuse, NY is required. Upon hire, candidates will participate in a comprehensive apprenticeship program, on‑site, at our corporate headquarters in Syracuse, NY for a minimum of 12 months, with a monthly housing stipend of $1,500. At the conclusion of the apprenticeship, candidates will return to their respective territories and start selling.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and acquire new clients for international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and domestic truck brokerage services.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
Educate prospects on Mohawk Global’s capabilities, focusing on compliance, reliability, and global reach.
Collaborate with internal sales teams to cross‑sell across all business units and ensure smooth lead handoff.
Maintain detailed records of prospecting activity and lead status in CRM.
Represent Mohawk Global at trade shows, seminars, and networking events.
Stay current on trade regulations, logistics trends, and compliance best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, International Trade, Sales, or a related field preferred.
Demonstrable passion for B2B sales within domestic brokerage services, international logistics, freight forwarding, or customs brokerage.
Strong desire to learn about global trade, transportation modes, and compliance requirements.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Hunter mentality with a passion for building new relationships and closing deals.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
