Handle incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
Proactively contact customers to discover needs and promote parts and service solutions.
Invoice parts to customers with attention to appropriate discounts, freight charges, and payment methods.
Initiate daily machine-down and stock orders to fulfill transactional needs of customers.
Ensure the display floor is stocked appropriately, utilizing proper merchandising techniques.
Assist in receiving daily stock orders and processing transfers.
Provide support to colleagues within the department as needed.
Communicate customer concerns to the appropriate management.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department, including the display floor and warehouse(s).
Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe Parts Department environment.
File shipment shortages and report bin shortages or inventory adjustments to the Parts Manager.
Assist with inventory control functions and departmental report generation.
Perform any other duties or projects assigned by management.
Promote marketing for the Parts department.
Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Continuously learn and improve with required parts training.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Proficiency in standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak business seasons.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Ability to apply consultative selling techniques effectively in daily work.

Preferred Qualifications

1+ year of experience in parts management preferred.
Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
Basic knowledge of agricultural equipment is advantageous.
Forklift certification.

Compensation

The following represents Brandt Holdings compensation estimation based on market data and placement of internal employees. This is a hourly role with a starting base of $15/hr. and going up to $30/hr. based on experience. This role is also incentive eligible and is based on performance.

The candidate will assist customers over the phone and face to face ordering and researching parts for the John Deere and other equipment sold in the territory. Requirements

Look up part numbers in equipment parts books or online resources.
Load and unload freight using a forklift.

Qualifications

Previous experience in parts, inventory, or farm equipment experience required.
Must have knowledge of Sprayers, Combines and Tractors required.
Knowledge of core parts operations and previous experience working with parts books is needed.
Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Computer literate and proficient with using UPS Worldship for shipping & receiving, Microsoft, Excel and Outlook required.
Must be capable of lifting 75 lbs, climb ladders and stairs on a daily basis.
Ability to operate a standard forklift and manual pallet jack in a safe but timely manner.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle will be performed on final candidate).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in both office and warehouse environments. May, on a continuous basis sit at a desk for long periods of time, answer phone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. May on a continuous basis, walk, bend and lift up to 75 lbs. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e. safety glasses with side shields and steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level in the office is usually low and the noise level in the warehouse may range from low to moderate. Must be flexible during peak season working overtime as needed. Occasional local travel may be required. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
