Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides professional and courteous service to all customers inside the store, outside of the store, and on the phone.2. Assures merchandise is placed on the sales floor in a timely manner3. Able to ensure items are rung accurately on the register4. Demonstrates accurate cash handling skill to include but is not limited to making change, operate and maintain the cash register, check and charge card machine, and use of a calculator 5. Maintains knowledge of merchandise and answers customer's questions courteously and promptly6. Keeps floor merchandise neat and orderly (racks, shelves, bins, and hangers) and assists customers with purchase selections. 7. Maintains clean professional appearance

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain an orderly and clean register area 3. Maintain familiarity with store security procedures and exercise security practices when necessary4. Perform general housekeeping responsibilities to include: store upkeep duties as needed to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping shelves, and dusting (including restrooms and dressing rooms) 5. Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

1. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and GGW associates 2. Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all of our customers 3. Ability to settle customer complaints 4. Ability to perform basic math skills 5. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift)6. Ability to bend and lift up to 40 pounds frequently 7. Basic working knowledge of computer applications and the internet

Preferred Qualifications

Sales Associate

Goodwill is looking for friendly, outgoing people to join our growing team! Whether it's greeting customers, chatting with \"regulars\" or just providing a great customer experience, Goodwill is the place for you! Working in the \"front of the house\" will be the main responsibilities. Running the register, pulling merchandise to make room for new product, attending the fitting rooms and setting a friendly atmosphere for customers and co-workers alike!

The Sales Associate works under the direction of store management to maintain efficient store operations. Responsible for providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a clean, organized and safe store. The Sales Associate is expected to create a positive employee and customer experience by modeling Goodwill's mission and citizenship behaviors at all times.

Essential duties include the following:

Provides a best in class customer experience
Scanning books for processing
General housekeeping and store appearance
Cashiering, ensuring accurate tenders and a balanced cash drawer
Pulling and merchandising inventory according to sales floor plan
Attending to fitting rooms

Minimum qualifications:

Ability to display a positive, friendly attitude in order to maintain a positive work environment
Mathematical and literacy skills to support job duties
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Criminal background check that meets agency standards
Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Preferred qualifications:

Retail experience or certification
High school diploma, GED, HiSET or equivalent

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Using the internet, published guidelines and consultation with experts, research potential merchandise to be placed online for sale, determining information such as the type and function of the item, fair market value, eligibility for vintage /antique status, brand, potential buyers, whether the item is genuine, and other details in order to make an educated assessment as to the item’s salability on our online markets. Update online manifest system as necessary.\nTake clear and accurate photographs of items, in such detail and number to provide the potential customer with enough information about the item’s appearance, condition, size, color, shape, composition, brand, model, size, and other descriptive detail.\nWrite persuasive sales copy about the item, providing enough detail to help the customer determine appearance, condition, size, material, weight, color, shape, brand, model, size, and other factors.\nUse online systems to post items for sale on eBay, Shopgoodwill.com, and other markets as needed.\nSort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code\nRetrieve merchandise from shelves, place merchandise into appropriate packaging, affix shipping labels, and stage merchandise in preparation for shipping.\nKeep accurate records, using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software, of items posted, sold, sales price, inventory, origin and destination.\nRespond to phone and email inquiries from customers in a timely manner, and support customer onsite pickup of purchased items.\nUse warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc., to move product inside, outside of and within the warehouse.\nCoordinate and communicate with retail store Ecommerce representatives, as necessary, regarding items sent from that store.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain a quick and efficient work pace in order to adhere to posting quotas.\nMaintain a professional appearance, adhering to Goodwill uniform standards.\nAssist with warehouse logistics as assigned and adhere to policies and procedures.\nPerforms other duties as directed and assigned.

Required Qualifications

Must have at least six months of relevant work experience in a retail, warehouse, Ecommerce or similar customer-service focused environment.\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel and Outlook) and Internet savvy.\nMust be a detail-oriented self- starter who is able to learn the requirements of Ecommerce quickly.\nAbility to complete all assigned tasks quickly, and in an efficient manner, adhering to departmental quotas.\nMust be responsible and reliable and extremely organized.\nAbility to posting and list products online in the English language.\nAbility to conduct reliable research using the internet.\nFamiliarity with basic photographic principles so as to operate a mid-level digital camera, including the ability to upload photos to a computer.\nAbility to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to various temperature extremes (hot in summer, cold in winter), moderate dust and noise.\nAbility to lift and carry up to thirty pounds in weight and to push and/or pull merchandise up to 200 pounds using warehouse equipment.\nMust have access to reliable transportation in order to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
