As our Universal Senior Teller, you are the vital support system for the teller line and the primary partner to the Universal Head Teller. We are looking for an expert in cash management who can balance a vault as easily as they build a relationship with a member. How You'll Make a Difference The Universal Senior Teller ensures the branch remains steady, secure, and efficient. By taking responsibility for balancing the vault, cashier's checks, and money orders, you provide the financial accuracy that keeps our branch running smoothly. You serve as a key representative of the credit union, guiding members through everything from opening their first account to resolving complex bookkeeping questions while serving as a trusted leadership backup for the teller team. What You'll Do Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary backup to the Universal Head Teller and generate vital operational reports to keep management informed. Master Cash Operations: Take the lead on balancing the branch vault, cashier's checks, and money orders; assist with ordering, receiving, and verifying cash supplies for the team. Expanded Member Support: Help members with account openings, direct deposits, stop payments, and card services with professional precision. Problem Solving & Bookkeeping: Navigate member questions regarding account maintenance and basic bookkeeping to provide "first-contact" resolution. Proactive Sales: Identify member needs and cross-sell credit union products that help our neighbors reach their financial milestones. Transaction Excellence: Accurately process all member transactions-in person, via mail, or through ATM deposits-while upholding strict security standards. What You Bring The Heart: A dependable, "can-do" attitude and a commitment to helping both members and teammates succeed. The Experience: At least six months of cashier/money handling experience is required (additional experience in a credit union or bank setting is highly preferred). The Education: High school diploma or equivalent. The Skills: Strong decision-making abilities, high attention to detail, and the administrative judgment to handle leadership responsibilities.
