Key responsibilities include: Surface preparation: Prepare vehicles for painting by masking, sanding, and priming surfaces to achieve optimal adhesion and finish quality. Painting: Apply paint, clear coats, and other finishes to vehicles using spray guns and other painting equipment, ensuring consistency and an excellent color match. Quality control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets Bergstrom Automotive's high standards for quality, accuracy, and guest satisfaction. Mixing and matching: Mix paint colors and ensure proper blending to achieve a factory-quality finish. Equipment maintenance: Maintain and clean painting equipment and the spray booth to ensure safety and quality. Team collaboration: Work closely with body shop technicians, estimators, and parts consultants to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs. Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations regarding paint application and disposal. Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm or similar variation. Pay: Earning potential exceeding $80,000! Flat rate pay structure based on experience. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive painter in a body shop setting. Skills: Proficiency in using spray guns, paint mixing systems, and other automotive painting tools and equipment. Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching and finish quality. Guest service orientation: Commitment to delivering a high level of service and quality to our guests. Physical ability: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Certification: I-CAR or ASE certifications in automotive painting are preferred but not required.
