Telecon Inc., a leading provider of telecommunications network infrastructure services, is seeking an energetic, career-minded individual looking to take on the position of HFC/Fiber Network Designer.
This position will be a remote based role working a second (example: 4pm-12am) shift schedule.
The HFC/Fiber Network Designer is responsible for the creation of hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) and fiber network design, with proficiency in Bentley MicroStation and related design tools. This role requires technical expertise, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality network designs.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Develop and modify HFC and fiber network designs using Bentley MicroStation. Interpret and apply construction documents, engineering standards, and client specifications. Prepare design packages, drawings, and supporting documentation for construction teams. Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report on project data. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure constructability and compliance. Review and verify design accuracy, making adjustments as needed. THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
1+ years of proven experience with Bentley MicroStation required. Hands-on experience in HFC and fiber network design required. Strong knowledge of construction drawings and documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with attention to detail. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work a second shift. Previous telecom or utility design experience.
