Overview Ogilvy New York is hiring a Social Content Creator (Copy). We are looking for a Creative/Maker/Content Creator to join our social creative team—a close-knit group of creatives delivering fresh, bold, distinctive and breakthrough social content. This role offers the chance to work in collaboration with the strategic and creative teams of Ogilvy and with top social & content experts for one of our biggest clients. Your mission is to concept big ideas that are Social at heart and create best-in-class content for social programs or integrated campaigns. You have a deep understanding of social platforms—functionally and platform mechanics + best practices. You are chronically online; understanding when a trend is right for a brand and when it’s not. Ability to be specific about what/why/how concepts can come to life and fit platform-to-platform. Clearly understands the role the brand plays in social and can adapt based on charter work and community-led feedback. Ability to quickly adapt / maker mentality. A team player. Responsibilities Collaborates with the team to develop and present creative concepts for clients and new business to help build brands on social. Attends and captures content at shoots and events. Works closely with art directors and designers to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone, style, and brand guidelines. Writes, shoots, edits, and produces content across multiple channels. Understands business objectives and audience demographics to land the messaging. Translates creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective concepts. Proofreads and vets copy to ensure consistency in tone, grammar, and messaging before assets are handed over to be published. Stays abreast of global cultural trends and industry updates; proactively develop timely ideas for relevant opportunities. Ideates individually and collaboratively on innovative content ideas designed to meet long-term goals for social engagement and audience growth. Identifies user- and community-generated content to be reposted, obtain permissions, and re-edit audio tracks as needed. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant copywriting, design, and content creation experience in the social space. Strategic and conceptual thinking. Ability to lead scrappy content creation. Passion for learning and self-improvement. Proactive and a self-starter. Positive attitude and ability to work under tight deadlines. Adaptable and able to handle changes in briefs, priorities, and edits. True passion for food & beverage verticals.
