Our client is an organization in the Mequon area looking for a
Senior Tax Analyst.
Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of related experience including ASC 740, high attention to details and strong analytic skills.
The salary for this position is $110k-115k.
The
Senior Tax
Analyst
will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES Income Tax Provision & Compliance Prepare and review income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, partnering closely with external tax advisors Evaluate, document, and monitor uncertain tax positions Support federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance, including apportionment calculations and nexus analysis Assist with audit support and responses for federal and state income tax examinations Support the preparation and calculation of federal and state estimated tax payments Identify and document applicable tax credits and incentives Sales & Use Tax Ownership Own the preparation and timely remittance of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax filings Maintain and reconcile sales and use tax accrual accounts Partner with operations, procurement, and accounts payable to ensure accurate taxability determinations and minimize use tax exposure Support state and local sales and use tax audits, including managing information requests and responses Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency within the sales and use tax function Shareholder & Payroll Accounting Support Coordinate preparation and communication of quarterly shareholder tax estimates Assist with shareholder-related accounting entries, reconciliations, and inquiries Prepare payroll-related journal entries and maintain payroll balance sheet reconciliations Support internal and external audit requests related to payroll accounting Partner with HR and Accounting to strengthen payroll processes and internal controls Cross-Functional Partnership & Special Projects Serve as a subject matter expert and key partner to the business on tax-related matters Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tax treatment for new products, services, and initiatives Lead and support special projects, process enhancements, and ad hoc tax-related requests
The

will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field 3+ years of related experience. ASC 740 experience required. CPA preferred Local and state tax experience preferred. Excellent organizational, planning, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
