
New Business Coordinator-Cashiering Specialist

The New Business Coordinator – Cashiering Specialist is responsible for processing checks, managing policy-related financial transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role ensures the timely, compliant handling of funds while supporting policy administration and delivering high-quality service to policyholders, agents, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities Review and process incoming and outgoing checks Accurately apply payments to policyholder accounts and reconcile discrepancies Maintain accurate deposit records and support daily reconciliation reviews Resolve items held due to NIGO (Not in Good Order) check issues in accordance with compliance guidelines Assist with the review of annuity applications and related transactions Investigate and resolve payment issues, including misapplied funds and returned payments Coordinate with internal and external policy administration teams Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory requirements Support month-end data entry in the Supe Central tracking system, as well as seasonal and year-end financial close activities Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive customer and financial information
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred 1–3 years of experience in cashiering, accounts receivable, or insurance operations Experience in life insurance or financial services strongly preferred Familiarity with premium billing or policy administration systems is a plus
Skills & Competencies High level of attention to detail and accuracy Solid understanding of cash application and reconciliation processes Knowledge of life insurance products (e.g., term, whole life, annuities) is a plus Ability to manage high transaction volumes while meeting tight deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
