Overview
Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking motivated drafters to join our team in Madison, WI.
Responsibilities Drafting and design support for multiple design teams involved with conceptual, preliminary, and final design of station projects ranging from 34.5 kV through 345 kV.
Design of substation physical drawings, substation electrical wiring, schematic diagrams, development of material lists, and other duties as determined by management.
Qualifications
College degree in an acceptable curriculum or a two‑year technical certificate in computer‑aided drafting/design, or a minimum of two years of job experience in the field.
Proficient in AutoCAD; strong computer aptitude in a Windows environment; MicroStation experience a plus.
Effective verbal and written communication, excellent interpersonal skills, independent judgment, and ability to work individually or on a team.
Detail oriented, high organizational skills, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Must not require visa sponsorship; subject to client‑mandated drug and background checks; occasional travel/driving may be required.
