The opportunity The Investment Analyst role in the Real Estate group is ideal for individuals passionate about pursuing a career in real estate. This role will provide exposure to the key areas of our Real Estate portfolio – investments, asset management and portfolio management. The main responsibilities will focus on analyzing potential real estate investment opportunities, executing on transactions, tracking business plans and reporting on investment performance.

Who You'll Work With This role will work in a dynamic team-based environment in Dallas, directly supporting senior team members where they will have the chance to define and differentiate yourself and build strategic relationships within the global market. The Real Estate team comprises nearly 40 investment professionals and invests and manages assets across a geographically diverse portfolio of approximately C$28 billion with assets in North America, South America, Europe and Asia, including Australia.

What You’ll Do Investments and Asset Management

Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential investment opportunities.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support acquisition and disposition decisions.

Assist in the due diligence process and incorporate the findings into a financial model.

Facilitate sale processes, including preparing materials, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring timely execution

Contribute to investment memos and presentation materials.

Support ongoing asset management initiatives, including monitoring investments, tracking business plans and executing key priorities.

Portfolio Management

Prepare data-driven portfolio analytics for key portfolio monitoring and reporting initiatives.

Measure investment performance by developing an understanding of OTPP returns, benchmark, and risk frameworks to assess historical and projected performance.

Support long-term capital planning by preparing deployment forecasts, as well as monitoring short-term liquidity and deployment activity.

Support the valuation process, including tracking valuation results and preparing management reporting.

Build relationships with other key functions across OTPP and contribute to Fund-wide initiatives.

Facilitate sale processes, including preparing materials, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring timely execution

Contribute to investment memos and presentation materials.

Support ongoing asset management initiatives, including monitoring investments, tracking business plans and executing key priorities.

What You’ll Need

Undergraduate degree required in business, finance, accounting, or related field.

Up to one year of experience, preferably in investment banking, principal investing or investment advisory.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and ability to perform in-depth financial modelling analysis.

Strong time‑management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities under demanding timelines, while remaining meticulous.

Proactive attitude, demonstrated ability and desire to work in a vigorous, fast‑paced environment.
