
Employment Specialist II - Individulal Supported Employment

Essential Duties
Assess client’s skills, barriers and support needs to create a pathway for employment. Includes hands‑on community‑based job skills coaching; job application and resume assistance; assistance with developing interviewing skills; on‑the‑job training/support and employment retention services.
Maintain existing and identify new employer partnerships with internal and external businesses to identify/develop job leads and opportunities for career exploration.
Communicate and maintain good rapport with program candidates, referring counselors, natural support of the program candidates, fellow staff and other agencies.
Maintain program files in accordance with CARF, AbilityOne guidelines, DBHDS, DOL and other funding agency standards and the confidentiality thereof.
Provide required data on persons served; enter data timely and accurately.
Serve as a liaison with referral agencies by maintaining consistent communication regarding the progress of program candidates on caseload and attending service planning meetings and case staffs.
Maintain a caseload sufficient in number, achieving enrollment, placement and billable unit/hours goals per month.
Complete and review service plans, billing information and case notes in a timely, comprehensive and accurate manner to reflect progress toward employment goals.
Advocate for program candidate’s needs/services by providing referrals to community resources/services to assist the program candidate with maintaining program retention and/or employment.
