Company Description Fizz Social Soda is a Connecticut based start-up founded by a Sacred Heart University Alumn Julien Debelle Duplan along with local entrepreneurs Jason and Tom Sobocinski from Black Hog Brewing co. Fizz Social Soda is a low-dose hemp derived THC soda brand manufactured locally here in Oxford, Connecticut. Since its launch in November 2025, Fizz Social Soda has become one of the top selling hemp infused drinks in the State. Our current line up of Lemon-Lime, Orange, Black Cherry flavors made with real cane sugar as well as a Diet Cola with zero sugar and zero calories.

Learning Outcomes This will not be your average corporate internship. You will be interning for a young and exciting start-up in a fun but very professional environment poised for massive growth. We are seeking candidates with passion and motivation for learning and growing. Our goal for this internship is to assist with the promotion of the brand through tastings, events, and social media. While this internship revolves around sales, our founder Julien will share his broader knowledge of business start-up and development. Julien is well versed in product design/engineering, prototyping, patent/trademark laws, sourcing/manufacturing, website design/management, content creation, forming partnerships and business development. Julien has now launched two successful legal cannabis companies and is looking to support the interns growth and professional skills through real world experience outside of the classroom.

Job Requirements

Stay up to date with similar brands and products in the non alcoholic (NA) and THC category.

Research local and non-local events that could be beneficial to attend or send products to.

Assist in and run public tastings for the brand at local liquor stores and dispensaries in the state.

Create and launch sales promotions/campaigns across all platforms.

Monitor analytics and sales data to promote successful tastings.

Time Period of Internship

This internship will be for the spring semester

Potential to continue internship through the summer semester as well.

Number of Hours per Week

You can enjoy a flexible schedule of 1-10 hours per week.

Paid/Unpaid

Unpaid internship

Travel/Meals/Lodging for promotional events will be paid for.

Class Years Seeking

We are accepting interns from Freshman – Seniors.

Majors/Programs Seeking

We are open to students from all Majors/Programs and that have a true interest in entrepreneurship.
