Customer Service Receptionist Birmingham, AL

Pay Rate: $15 per hour

About the Role The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing a welcoming and professional presence. This role is responsible for directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel, handling incoming mail and faxes, and performing various administrative tasks to support daily office operations.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

Answer and direct incoming phone calls.

Open, sort, and distribute mail.

Forward incoming faxes via e‑mail.

Maintain and update the visitor sign‑in log.

Enter sales tax reports.

Check and file material receipt reports.

Ensure office supplies are stocked and organized.

Process outgoing mail, including mailing checks.

Perform general typing and clerical tasks as needed.

Make daily bank deposits.

Enter invoices and shipping tickets into the system.

Requirements

Ability to work Monday‑Friday from 8 am‑5 pm.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Professional and friendly demeanor.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
