Schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM | Friday until Noon
About the Role HMS Property Group is looking for a hands-on Property Manager to support ownership as the business continues to grow. This is a fast-paced role within a small, entrepreneurial environment where you’ll have real ownership and visibility.
If you’re someone who works well without heavy structure, can juggle multiple priorities, and enjoys being both in the field and in the office, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
Manage day-to-day property operations using Buildium and QuickBooks Online
Serve as the main point of contact for tenants, handling communication professionally and efficiently
Travel to properties across Chicago as needed
Maintain property records and support basic financial reporting
Assist in both property management and building materials distribution operations
What We’re Looking For
Experience with Buildium or similar property management software preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills and ability to navigate diverse tenant and business interactions
Reliable transportation for local property visits
Comfortable working in a small, non-corporate environment
Bookkeeping or accounting experience is a plus
