
Sales Manager – Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing (Burbank, CA)

We are hiring a Sales Manager to lead a small team and drive strategic growth within a well-established aerospace manufacturing environment. This is a fully onsite leadership role based in Burbank, CA, supporting aerospace and defense customers.
Position Overview The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding key customer relationships, and leading business development initiatives. This role oversees inside sales while working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, and contracts to support existing programs and win new business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a small inside sales team
Drive new business development and grow existing aerospace/defense accounts
Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic sales plans
Manage the full sales lifecycle from RFQ through contract award and execution
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, resolving contract and delivery issues
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain
Track pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity management
Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
Monitor customer performance metrics and implement improvement plans
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
5–7+ years of sales or account management experience in aerospace manufacturing
Prior experience managing or mentoring a team preferred
Strong understanding of RFQ/RFP processes and contract execution
Proven ability to drive revenue growth and develop new business
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work onsite in Burbank, CA
Ability to travel approximately 20%
Experience working with aerospace, DoD programs, or highly regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., defense, military, precision machining, or metal manufacturing) strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $120,000 – $150,000
