
Automation Specialist

This position will be responsible for creating 3D drawings and designing End of Arm tooling for parts handling robots as well as fixturing and components for other automated processes. The individual in this position will also work as part of an automation team that supports all aspects of manufacturing. Individuals must be willing and able to take project from design to implementation. Include but are not limited to the following:
Manage and organize CAD files
Create 3D Drawings from 2D sketches in CAD software
Revise established drawings as needed to reflect design changes
Attend development meetings as requested
Design End of Arm tooling
Spec out purchased components
Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (drawings, BOM, design parameters) for future reference
Install, maintain and troubleshoot automated production systems
Provide system operation training on assigned automation systems as needed
Order supplies as directed by department
Work with other departments to ensure all equipment is in condition to meet customer production requests
Maintain work areas in professional manner
Participate and lead in our Culture of Continuous Improvement
