We are seeking a motivated and compassionate
Assistant Director of Life Enrichment
to support the planning and execution of engaging programs that enhance the daily lives of our residents. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow into a leadership role within activities and long-term care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and implementing daily life enrichment programs and special events
Support the Director of Life Enrichment in coordinating group activities, outings, and individualized programs
Help supervise activity staff and volunteers
Engage residents one-on-one and in group settings to promote participation and socialization
Maintain activity calendars, attendance records, and documentation in compliance with regulations
Ensure programs meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of residents
Step in to lead the department in the Director’s absence
Qualifications
Previous experience in activities or life enrichment in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
Activity Director Certification (or willingness to obtain) a plus
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Energetic, creative, and compassionate personality
Experience working with memory care/dementia residents is a plus
