About our Institutional Giving Officer position

The Institutional Giving Officer plays a key role in executing the annual institutional fundraising plan for Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai’i, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky (PPGNHAIK). Working under the guidance of the Director of Institutional Giving and in collaboration with internal teams, the Officer is responsible for grant writing, reporting, prospect research, and relationship management across the organization's six-state footprint with a concentration in the states of Idaho, Indiana and Kentucky . The Officer is also responsible for securing support for our sister affiliate Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates (PPAA).

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a portfolio of current and prospective institutional funders across Indiana. Develop and implement strategic plans to increase donor engagement and give over time.

Identifying, cultivating, and stewarding funding relationships by aligning organizational initiatives with donor interests. Develop tailored outreach strategies and ensure high-quality communication with funders.

Developing and establishing relationships with corporate funders to secure long-term funding and event sponsorship. Collaborate with events and engagement team when appropriate.

In collaboration with program and development staff, coordinate, draft, and review grant proposals, reports, presentations, and other written materials for institutional funders.

Staying informed on organizational goals and programmatic developments. Advise internal stakeholders on emerging funding opportunities and ensure alignment between programs and fundraising strategies.

Executing strategies to secure annual and campaign gifts to ensure organizational stability and capacity.

Conducting detailed research and analysis of corporations and foundations to assess alignment, capacity, and interest in supporting the mission.

Ensuring the timely preparation of stewardship materials. Support the planning and execution of recognition and cultivation events for institutional donors.

Maintaining accurate records of donor interactions and grant activities in the organization’s donor database. Provide research support and documentation for internal and external reporting needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in institutional fundraising, grant writing, or related development work.

Strong writing and editing skills, with experience producing compelling proposals and donor communications.

Demonstrated success in managing donor relationships and securing institutional funding.

Experience securing funding for advocacy and C4 efforts a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.

Familiarity with fundraising databases (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge) and prospect research tools.

Knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in Indiana a plus.

Salary Range:

$66,439 - $123,388
