Cabot Corporation’s Reinforcement Materials segment is seeking an experienced and visionary **Director of Global Business Strategy** to lead the development of mid‐ and long‐term strategy, drive high‐impact global initiatives, and influence key decisions that shape the segment’s future.This is a highly visible, senior‐level role at the center of market strategy, competitive intelligence, commercial growth, and enterprise transformation. You will work closely with the Segment President, CFO, CEO, and senior leaders across the company to advance initiatives that accelerate growth, strengthen our competitive position, and expand Cabot’s global footprint.Your work will directly inform the decisions that shape Cabot’s growth trajectory and strengthen our leadership position in the global materials landscape.**How You Will Make an Impact:****Strategic Planning & Business Direction*** Lead development and articulation of the global long‐range strategy and business plan.* Provide strategic input to market, technology, and asset strategies across the segment.* Review existing business activities for Reinforcement Materials and Cabot, evaluate strategic fit, and identify new opportunities to enhance the portfolio.**Business Development & Growth Pathways*** Drive strategic initiatives related to partnerships, acquisitions, and adjacent‐market expansion.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop winning commercial strategies that accelerate profitable growth and strengthen Cabot’s market position.**Strategic Decision Support & Executive Advisory*** Advise senior leadership on critical business matters, presenting scenario analyses, risks, and strategic options.* Build and validate financial models, investment cases, and business scenarios.* Partner with finance, technology, sales, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure alignment and sound business outcomes.**Competitive Analysis & Market Insight*** Create and maintain the strategic framework that guides business direction.* Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to gather and synthesize competitive and market intelligence to inform strategic choices.* Monitor global industry dynamics and advise senior leaders on implications and required shifts in strategy.**Execution Leadership & Transformation*** Lead major strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects from ideation through execution.* Coordinate across Cabot’s corporate, regional, and segment functions to ensure delivery of business case objectives.* Support and reinforce Responsible Care(R) and RC14001(R) requirements as applicable.**What You Will Bring:****Skills & Competencies*** Strong business acumen with the ability to assess new opportunities quickly and strategically.* Ability to translate complex insights into clear recommendations that influence senior leadership.* Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify interdependencies, synthesize insights, and develop strategic narratives.* Skilled at managing complexity and driving results in environments with multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities.* Ability to develop and manage internal and external relationships in a variety of global contexts, with the capability to adapt approach to accomplish objectives depending on the situation.* Inspiring people leader with the ability to motivate and develop high‐performing teams.* Effective at shifting seamlessly between big‐picture strategy and tactical execution.* Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing capabilities.* Ability to work across organizational boundaries with a “One Cabot” mindset to achieve the best results for the company as a whole.* Skilled as a change agent, able to constructively ask questions, generate provocative ideas, and galvanize support for new paths.* Strong financial fluency, with experience building financial models and business scenarios.* Practical understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.**Education & Experience*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business required; MBA strongly preferred.* 10+ years of experience in finance, or strategy consulting with a track record of leadership and delivering results; 5+ years of leadership experience managing a team.* Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‐functional initiatives and driving strategic outcomes.* Experience in global business environments.* Strong customer focus and ability to understand how Cabot’s technologies enable performance in customer applications.**How We’ll Support Your Success:*** The pay range for this role is from $192,150 - $278,700. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skill, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on your performance and company performance.* Benefits, Vacation, Etc**.** – We offer a competitive package of benefits.
