JOB SUMMARY The Director of the Counseling Center is responsible for the oversight, staff supervision and coordination of The Center's mental health and counseling services.
QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D/Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology preferred; Professional license in the state of South Carolina required. Professional licenses may include LISW, LPC, or LMFT. Minimum of five years of experience working in a mental health setting with supervisory responsibilities. Prefer seven years of progressive experience with at least two years in a leadership position.
REQUIRED SKILLS Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and treatment assessments. Must be proficient with various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic communication. Know or have the ability to quickly learn any database system required. Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry.
