Our physicians are board certified ophthalmologists by the American board of Ophthalmology and completed an additional two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship in diseases of the retina, macular, and vitreous. With six MD's and eleven offices in the Houston, TX area we have an ongoing mission to always deliver the best possible care.
Position Summary We are now hiring a Ophthalmic Photographer. This person will work in clinic and to serve both normal clinic and clinical research imaging needs. You will need to certify on the clinical trials and will be responsible for obtaining FA ophthalmic images, FP, OCT, B-Scan, and other modalities, and storing/transmitting the images per protocol.
Responsibilities This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.
Photography skills include:
Identify and image ocular anatomy for diagnostic and documentary photography
Certify for assigned clinical trial photography studies
Perform single and stereo fundus photography, photograph posterior pole through and around dense or opaque media
Complete images and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
2-3 years experience COA Preferred Training in clinical ophthalmic photography
Training and experience in phlebotomy, specifically venipuncture
Hands on experience in clinical research ophthalmic photography, including certification as a photographer for clinical trials, is preferred
Meticulous record keeping and organizational skills
Careful attention to detail in all research procedures
Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent judgment
Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate research procedures with co-workers is essential
Ultimately, the position requires a meticulous individual with a positive attitude, excellent patient satisfaction skills, and product and service knowledge. Individual must be an enthusiastic, devoted, team player that is able to thrive in a clinical setting.
