Digital Sales Specialist - Ogden Newspapers in North Central Ohio
We are looking for a positive, energetic person that thrives in a quick paced environment.
What does a Digital Sales Specialist do? The primary responsibility of the Digital Sales Specialist is to increase digital advertising revenues through direct sales activities in North Central and Northwest Ohio and by actively engaging with the sales teams in Sandusky, Findlay and Tiffin markets. The Digital Sales Specialist will participate in field calls, client visits, product and sales training and overall revenue driving activities. This position directly affects and is responsible for achieving or exceeding digital revenue targets in each of the three markets.
Responsibilities
Ensures that the team consistently meets and/or exceeds digital revenue goals
Regularly meets with local Advertising Directors to discuss digital growth plans and discuss staff performance and development needs
Calls on local businesses, individually and with local sales staff, with the intent of selling Ogden Digital Media products and services that fit the needs and goals of clients.
Spends significant time visiting customers in the field with the purpose of deepening account relationships as well as seeking opportunities to coach staff
Requirements
Highly motivated, self-starting individual with initiative and drive to succeed through others
Ability to close new business and assist a team to exceed sales targets
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong listening and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Comfortable working in MS Office environment
Must possess a valid state driver's license and reliable transportation
Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred; or equivalent work experience in media related business.
Must have prior experience with digital marketing sales
