Why This Job The Director of Operations will lead and drive the Construction Services line of business within CMC. Construction Services supports construction projects of any size by offering a quality line of products, technical support and innovative solutions. In addition to forming and shoring, tilt wall and equipment rentals, what sets CMC's Construction Services apart is our team of world-class professionals who consistently deliver solutions to meet the challenges of modern construction in a broad range of markets.
What You'll Do
Create and drive consistency and operational excellence across all locations
Develop logistics model that leverages synergy between and among locations to reduce cost and increase speed and quality of service
Create regional operations structure that ensures consistent practices across locations
Create and enforce uniform standards for appearance, cleanliness and organization across all CS locations
Build and lead a team that embodies CMC culture across all locations
Establish consistent merchandising, product offering and processes across all CS store locations
Create operations platform to ensure scalability of operating practices across locations
Improve CS customer experience by creating and implemented branch services that ensure consistency and surpass customer expectations
Implement customer-focused solutions that are scalable across locations
Establish best of class service platform to improve customer experience
Reduce operational cost and increase operational efficiency by eliminating redundant effort
What You'll Need
12+ years of leading operations for a multi-location distribution company or similar experience within the construction or heavy industrial industries
Experience managing a business that consists of locations dispersed over a large geographical footprint in the US
Prior experience owning/overseeing a P&L for a line of business
Ability to travel as needed (75% or more)
Your Education
Bachelor's degree required
