Title: Renovations Lead Carpenter/Working Assistant Superintendent
Position Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Renovations Lead Carpenter / Working Assistant Superintendent for Luxury home residential remodeling projects. This role combines hands‑on carpentry with on‑site leadership, ensuring that home renovations are completed safely, on time, and to the highest craftsmanship standards. The ideal candidate has a strong residential remodeling background, communicates well with clients and crews, and can support the Superintendent with day‑to‑day operations. You will be joining one of Charlotte's most recognized and awarded contracting firms, known for our commitment to quality and our long‑standing reputation for serving Charlotte's elite clientele.
Key Responsibilities
Carpentry & Technical Work
Perform skilled carpentry tasks including framing, trim work, cabinetry, doors/windows, flooring, and drywall. Read and interpret residential blueprints, architectural plans, and specifications. Lead by example with hands‑on work and set a high standard for craftsmanship and attention to detail. Solve on‑site construction challenges in real‑time, offering creative and practical solutions. Ensure all work is performed according to applicable building codes and local regulations. Site Supervision & Coordination
Assist the Superintendent in managing daily operations on residential remodel job sites. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and in‑house crews to ensure timely and quality execution of work. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site; enforce safety protocols and residential job site etiquette. Monitor construction schedules and help ensure project milestones are met. Communicate proactively with homeowners, designers, and team members about job progress, expectations, and any changes. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets company standards and client satisfaction. Document daily job progress, issues, and material deliveries. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction and remodeling. Proficient in rough and finish carpentry, with a strong portfolio of residential work. Prior experience leading crews or managing job sites preferred. Knowledge of residential building codes, safety standards, and remodeling practices. Ability to multitask, adapt to changing project demands, and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—especially in homeowner‑facing situations. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 or 30 certification. Familiarity with construction scheduling tools or project management software. (Examples: Job Tread, Buildertrend, Co‑Construct, Pro‑Core) Experience in high‑end or custom residential remodels is highly desirable. Job Type: Full‑time Benefits
