THE SALES CONSULTANT POSITION presents exterior remodeling projects to homeowners within their homes. 120-days paid training prepares the Sales Consultant to parlay into a successful commission-based position. Appointments are provided and pre-scheduled with repeat customers, referrals, and new customers. The Sales Consultant determines the customer’s objectives and needs to formulate remodeling proposals, clearly communicating project details and pricing to close the contract. The Sales Consultant executes the order and communicates project details to the production and installation teams via the company’s order processing system. EXO’s goal is to provide customers a five-star, stress-free remodeling experience, on-time and on budget.
KEY RESULTS
Professionally presents EXOVATIONS® products, services, pricing, and timeline to homeowners with 100% accuracy
Successfully closes on home improvement projects that meet homeowners’ needs and exceeds their expectations
Communicates project specifications and timeline to production team with 100% accuracy
Follows up with finished projects to ensure complete satisfaction and gain referral business
Visits job sites in progress and gains referral business
Meets monthly and yearly sales projections
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provides a five-star experience to homeowners seeking exterior renovations.
Presents, promotes, and sells impact products and EXO’s services using friendly, data-driven approaches to existing and prospective customers
Works with customers to identify their needs and offer innovative solutions
Collaborates with team to stay aware of best practices and promotional trends
Creates monthly and yearly sales projections
Attends all training functions
Arrives promptly for every appointment
Available for Saturday appointments
Follows up with finished projects to ensure complete satisfaction and gains referral business
Visits job sites in progress and gains referral business
May perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Director
PREREQUISITE EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPENTENCIES
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in position related courses preferred.
One to three years’ sales experience required
Comfortable with a commission-only compensation structure following an initial paid training period
Proven ability to meet Sales minimums of $75,000.00 per month or $150,000.00 in any 2-month period
Proven ability to meet closing percentage minimums of 25%
Basic knowledge of Residential construction with home building or remodeling company a plus
Motivated and goal-orientated drive to exceed personal and company expectations
Solid organizational skills, including multi-tasking and time management skills, and strong problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Dependable, reliable, and has a strong work ethic
Valid Driver’s License
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing and sitting for extended periods of time
Lifting up to 25 pounds in a safe and prudent manner
Ability to easily move throughout an EXO office, home office, customer’s home or jobsite with ease
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Ability to effectively interact with others internally and externally
Ability to utilize office equipment in a safe and prudent manner, including a copy machine, fax machine, computer, telephone, and other general office equipment that may be used regularly
Ability to work with many different personalities
Ability and comfort in using navigation resources while driving on company business to visit customers
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time between home/office and customer homes/ job sites
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Correctable vision and hearing
