The Sauk Rapids-Rice Public School District No. 47 is seeking a highly effective Instructional Coach to support teachers in delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that improves student learning outcomes.
This role focuses on evidence-based practices to guide coaching, professional learning, and classroom implementation. A central priority of this position is ensuring strong alignment between curriculum, instruction, and standards across classrooms, grade levels, and schools.

Primary Responsibilities:
Teach Media & Information Literacy
Provide direct instruction to students in an elementary building: Support students in becoming critical consumers and creators of information
Collaborate with teachers to integrate media skills into classroom instruction
Support Curriculum & Standards Alignment: Align media instruction with Minnesota academic standards and district curriculum
Manage Media Resources & Learning Spaces: Curate and maintain high-quality print and digital resources across all district media centers; Ensure equitable access to materials that support curriculum and student needs; Create welcoming, student-centered media spaces that support learning and exploration
Direct district media assistants
Stay relevant in research, pedagogy, student interests, and technology for media center purposes
Promote Digital Citizenship & Innovation: Lead efforts to promote safe, ethical, and responsible use of information and technology; Support students and staff in navigating digital tools and resources effectively; Stay current on best practices in media literacy and instructional technology
Outstanding candidates will have:
Knowledgeable in variety of research-based instructional practices
Knowledgeable in effective MTSS practices
Strong collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills
Thoughtful and deliberate decision-makers
Creative problem solvers with extraordinary relationship skills
Innovative and able to develop, promote and implement quality programs
Motivating and positive with students, staff, and parents/guardians

Required Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota teaching license in library media or relevant experience and willingness to seek a license with special permission from PELSB
Bachelor's Degree in relevant subject area
Minimum 5‑years of successful teaching experience
Strong understanding of media literacy, research skills, and digital citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with coaching or teacher leadership
Contract: 1.0 FTE, 182 contract days plus 5 extra days for a total of 187 days beginning the 2026-2027 school year.
Salary and Benefits: Salary based on the 2025-2027 Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Associations Master Agreement starting at $52,166 up to $97,326.
Benefits based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions. Benefits may include the following:
Health, Dental, Vision Wear, Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, and Long-Term Disability Insurance
Health Savings Account (with enrollment in an eligible health plan)
Medical Flexible Spending Account (with eligibility for insurance)
