Position Overview
Pivot Marketing is seeking a motivated and client-focused Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, communicating our marketing initiatives, and ensuring the successful progression of campaigns and projects with internal team members and external partners.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable leading conversations, building rapport quickly, and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. This individual should be confident representing the agency in client-facing settings and able to navigate discussions with clarity—even when working through new or complex topics.

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships across varying stakeholder groups
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and day-to-day communications with confidence and professionalism
- Ask thoughtful questions to uncover client needs and guide strategic direction, and effectively communicate insights to internal teams to ensure aligned execution
Project Coordination & Execution:
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage timelines, deliverables, and priorities
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations
- Proactively identify and address challenges, keeping clients informed and aligned
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track campaign performance and budgets
- Prepare and deliver reports, clearly communicating insights and recommendations to clients
Quality Assurance:
- Maintain high standards for accuracy and quality across all deliverables
- Ensure alignment with contracts, scopes of work, and internal processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably within a digital marketing or agency environment
- Working knowledge of digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Google Analytics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently lead discussions and presentations
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish trust with new contacts
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to adapt in dynamic environments and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with higher education clients
- Prior experience in an agency setting
Location & Travel Requirements
- Candidates should be based in Vermont or Massachusetts
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly for client meetings and team collaboration is required
Compensation
- Salary range: $62,000–$72,000 annually, based on experience
