
Community Relations Coordinator

The Community Relations Coordinator supports the execution of USA Pickleball’s community engagement initiatives at the national level, with a strong emphasis on advancing USA Pickleball Serves, the organization’s charitable and community impact platform. This role is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs and partnerships that expand access to the sport, strengthen USAP’s presence, and build meaningful relationships within communities across the country.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the coordinator helps bring USA Pickleball Serves initiatives to life through event support, partnership coordination, fundraising assistance, and content development. This is an ideal role for an organized, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about sports, community engagement, and making a positive impact. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Key Responsibilities Program & Partnership Support
Assist in the execution of community relations programs, including Grow the Game and Play it Forward initiatives
Support outreach efforts with nonprofit organizations, schools, and community partners
Help coordinate partnership deliverables and maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders
Manage and fulfill silent auction and donation requests from nonprofit partners
Fundraising & Grant Support
Support fundraising initiatives including community campaigns, partner activations, and donor engagement efforts
Assist in identifying and researching grant opportunities aligned with USAP Serves priorities
Help coordinate grant application materials, timelines, and submissionsTrack and report on fundraising and grant outcomes, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up
Event Coordination & Execution
Support the planning and execution of community events, clinics, and activations
Assist with event logistics including scheduling, materials, on-site coordination, and post-event follow-up
Help coordinate volunteer needs and support on-site engagement efforts
Content & Communications
Assist in creating content that highlights community initiatives for use across social media, website, newsletters, and internal communications
Capture stories, photos, and key moments from events to support USAP storytelling efforts
Ensure brand consistency across all community-related communications
Operational Support
Maintain inventory of community relations materials, including paddles, nets, and promotional items
Track program participation and assist with reporting on key metrics and outcomes
Provide administrative support including scheduling, coordination, and documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field
2–3 years of experience in community relations, event coordination, nonprofit work, fundraising, or a related field
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience supporting events, fundraising efforts, and cross-functional teams
Detail-oriented with a proactive, team-first mindset
Passion for community engagement, sports, and charitable initiatives
