About Ancient Well
Ancient Well is a cinematic studio building story-driven work across film, development, audience experiences, and cultural programming. We are looking for a Social Producer to help us build a consistent and compelling publishing rhythm across social platforms.
Role overview This is a part‑time contract role for an executor who can help translate Ancient Well’s projects, point of view, and public presence into ongoing social content. The right person is organized, visually strong, editorially sharp, and able to maintain momentum across content planning, production, and publishing.
This role is not just about posting. It is about helping Ancient Well build audience, visibility, and consistency over time through content that feels thoughtful, cinematic, and alive.
Key responsibilities
Build and maintain a social content calendar
Produce and repurpose content from existing assets, including stills, BTS, writing, clips, and project updates
Attend shoots, events, and other in‑person moments as needed to capture or coordinate social content
Support content rollouts tied to projects, events, and studio visibility
Write captions and organize publishing cadence across platforms
Coordinate asset needs and approvals
Support the development and distribution of a monthly email newsletter
Track light performance analytics and share recommendations based on what is resonating
Help create a repeatable content system that reduces bottlenecks and supports steady audience growth
Ideal candidate
Has experience producing social content for filmmakers, studios, creative brands, media companies, or cultural organizations
Has strong editorial instinct and visual taste
Is highly organized and dependable
Can take direction while also working proactively
Understands how to repurpose content effectively across platforms
Is comfortable working across locations for content capture and coverage as needed
Email marketing or newsletter experience is a plus
Is excited by cinema, storytelling, culture, and meaningful audience building

Part‑time contract
Hybrid, based in the DMV / Greater Washington area
Must be available for in‑person shoots, content capture, and event coverage as needed
Approx. 8–10 hours per week
Initial 3‑month term
Compensation: $1,200–$1,800/month depending on experience and scope
