Must-Haves
Minimum 2+ years of technical design experience, specifically in children’s apparel
Hands‑on experience with Browzwear 3D software
Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction
Experience with spec packages, grading, and fit evaluation
Ability to measure and assess samples for quality, fit, and workmanship
Understanding of patternmaking, sewing terminology, and garment construction
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (Illustrator a plus)
Must be able to work on‑site 5 days/week in NYC
About The Role An established wholesale manufacturer of branded and licensed children’s apparel is seeking an
Associate 3D Technical Designer
to ensure consistent fit, quality, and construction across all product lines. This is a highly collaborative role working closely with Design, Production, and Compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities Technical Design & Fit
Create and maintain detailed spec packages, including grading and construction details
Evaluate development and proto samples for fit, quality, and accuracy
Lead and participate in fit sessions with cross‑functional teams
Ensure all garments meet established fit standards and brand consistency
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with Design and Production teams to align on construction and fit standards
Communicate detailed feedback to vendors, including measurements, diagrams, and construction guidance
Respond to inquiries related to fit, specs, and garment construction
Quality & Compliance
Work with Production and Compliance teams to ensure products meet children’s safety regulations
Maintain high standards for workmanship and product integrity
