
Insurance Account Coordinator

Position Summary
The Insurance Account Coordinator is responsible for handling day‑to‑day processing and coordination of the underwriting process for the school's program of the Community Insurance Corporation. This is a hybrid role working from the Brookfield, WI office.
Essential Functions
Prepares and processes new and renewal quotes and policies for school's program working with external agents
Processes new and renewal submission requests, collection and analysis of underwriting data
Processes rating and premium calculations for liability, workers compensation and/or property lines of coverage, based on underwriting dated collected
Evaluates loss runs/loss ratio and prepares analysis of loss history and exposure
Utilizes the Office Management Systems (Origami) for collecting, monitoring, and processing submissions and exposure data
Collects and submits necessary information to carriers as applicable for coverages as necessary (such as equipment breakdown and crime coverage)
Binds and issues policies with external carriers as well as in Origami system, confirming that all details have been input correctly
Processes invoices and other documents as needed for accounting department
Provides customer service to agency force as well as clients, by answering coverage questions, gathering and reviewing proper underwriting information, generating loss runs, issuing certificates of insurance and policy endorsements, in a timely and accurate manner
Prepares specified reports or custom ad hoc for clients, management, and agency force as needed
Maintains files of related documents and forms electronically for insureds according to record retention policy
Maintains program and client records and expiration schedules to provide timely processing of new and renewal accounts
Provides assistance and back up support to other programs and projects within the underwriting department
Minimal, if any, may travel on occasion for trainings or seminars; Travel is intrastate
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite, with intermediate to advanced expertise in Excel
Quick to learn and adapt to new office management systems, technologies, and equipment
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong time‑management and prioritization abilities to meet deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Customer‑focused with a professional and service‑oriented approach
Flexible and adaptable, embracing change and continuous improvement in workflows
Able to work independently while effectively following directions
Knowledge of practice/principles of insurance
Willingness to obtain State of WI Insurance Intermediary License – Property and Casualty designation
Required Education And Experience
High School education
1–3 years of experience in an underwriting department of a commercial insurance company or insurance agency – focused on property/casualty lines
