About This Role Lincoln Avenue Communities is seeking an Asset Management Analyst to join our experienced team of real‑estate professionals overseeing a diverse national portfolio of affordable multifamily housing properties. This role allows a junior professional in commercial real estate, finance, or accounting to build expertise in the affordable housing and multifamily industry while gaining exposure to an experienced leadership team. It is a hybrid role based in Santa Monica, with an in‑office schedule of three days per week, reporting to a Director.

Please note that we require candidates to have at least 1–2 years of post‑graduate experience; therefore, we are unable to consider recent winter graduates or students graduating this spring.

What You’ll Do

Support the Asset Management team to execute community‑level investment plans and maximize investment returns

Review and analyze property performance to identify variances and value‑add opportunities through revenue enhancement and expense saving initiatives

Collect, analyze, and report data in a concise manner outlining key takeaways and trends

Conduct financial analysis and support due diligence for key capital events, including but not limited to financing, acquisitions, transitions, and rehab investments

Conduct monthly and quarterly reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, consistent, and complete deliverables

Evaluate and help enhance current reporting tools and processes as directed

Maintain organized filing systems and databases to ensure integrity of data and documentation

Assist with ad‑hoc/special projects and tasks as needed

Requirements Your Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, urban planning, real estate development, or related field

1‑2 years of experience in commercial real estate (CRE), affordable housing, asset management, financial analysis, or related field preferred

Adaptability and eagerness to learn, especially in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment

Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, data collection, and reporting

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to present findings to internal and external stakeholders

Highly organized with attention to detail and experience managing multiple tasks and priorities

Team‑oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments, including finance, construction, and development teams

Ability to travel (less than 10% of time)

Benefits The expected base salary for the role is up to $85,000 - $90,000. This represents the current range and is subject to change. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
