
Mobile Phlebotomist

Monarch Diagnostics is a top diagnostic testing laboratory that specializes in clinical bloodwork, high complexity urine analysis, infectious disease testing, and drug screening services. We work with partners of all sizes, ranging from individuals to facilities to corporations across the country. We are currently seeking a full-time mobile phlebotomist who will travel within a 100-mile radius from our Laboratory in Addison to collect specimens, including infectious disease and toxicology samples, as well as draw blood at specific site locations. A typical day for this role includes picking up a company car from the laboratory, following scheduled routes, arriving at specified locations, and warmly greeting patients from diverse backgrounds. The phlebotomist will prepare blood collection equipment, follow standard operating procedures for blood collection and handling, and return to the lab to accession samples.
Qualifications Required For This Role Include
Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
At least 1 year of experience regularly drawing blood in the field
A clean driving record, valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check
Comfort in a fast-paced environment
Comfort drawing from patients with difficult veins and substance abuse
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort using a smartphone for HIPAA secure apps and charting logs while in the field
Professionalism, accountability, confidentiality, and compassion to provide the highest quality of care to patients
Adaptability in an environment that sometimes requires quick thinking and problem-solving
Comfort working with minimal supervision
