The team is a premier collegiate summer baseball organization dedicated to uniting the community through the power of sport. Position Summary: The

Community Specialist

will be responsible for advancing the organization’s community engagement strategy. This role oversees the planning, execution, and growth of outreach initiatives, charitable programs, and fan engagement efforts. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, public-facing environment and is committed to creating a lasting community presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management:

Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with local schools, nonprofit organizations, youth groups, and community stakeholders to expand the Bravehearts’ community footprint.

Event Execution:

Lead the coordination and implementation of community events, player and mascot appearances, and outreach programs that align with organizational goals.

Charitable Initiatives:

Support the development and execution of Bravehearts foundation programming and fundraising events, ensuring alignment with broader community impact objectives.

Campaign Development:

Assist in conceptualizing and executing community-focused campaigns that enhance brand visibility, fan engagement, and civic presence.

Brand Representation:

Serve as an ambassador for the Worcester Bravehearts at public events, consistently demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to organizational values.

Impact Measurement:

Track, analyze, and report on community engagement metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and inform strategic planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with marketing, sponsorship, and game day operations teams to integrate community initiatives into the overall fan experience.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated passion for sports, community development, and mission-driven work.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and sustain relationships across diverse constituencies.

Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Outgoing, confident, and comfortable engaging with the public in dynamic settings.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and game days.

Prior experience in sports management, community relations, event planning, or nonprofit work is strongly preferred.
