2+ years of experience in purchasing, sales support, or supply chain Strong communication and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Shopify, DEAR, Katana, Lawson, or similar preferred) Plusses: Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or industrial distribution Familiarity with fasteners or technical hardware Experience handling RFQs, quoting, and vendor sourcing Day-to-Day: Insight Global is seeking an Inbound Sales and Supply Chain Specialist for our client, a leading supplier of metric fasteners and precision hardware supporting aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing programs. This client specializes in sourcing, distribution, and value-added processing of critical components used in mission-critical applications. They are growing quickly and looking for someone who can operate at the intersection of inbound sales and purchasing. This role is responsible for handling inbound customer demand from start to finish — from RFQ to fulfillment as well as sourcing those materials from vendors. You will act as the bridge between customers, vendors, and internal operations, ensuring quotes are competitive, orders are fulfilled, and timelines are met. This is a high-ownership role with direct impact on revenue and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Inbound Sales & Quoting Respond to inbound RFQs and customer inquiries Prepare and deliver accurate, competitive quotes Communicate with customers on pricing, availability, and lead times Convert quotes into purchase orders and manage order intake Source materials from approved vendors and negotiate pricing Issue and manage purchase orders Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to improve cost and lead time Identify alternate vendors when needed to meet demand Supply Chain & Logistics Track orders from procurement through delivery Coordinate inbound shipments and ensure timely receipt Communicate order status updates to customers proactively Resolve delays, shortages, and vendor issues quickly Operations Coordination Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams Support inventory planning and stock replenishment Maintain accurate records in ERP systems Ensure documentation and traceability meet quality standards (AS9100 environment) Compensation: $80,000 to $85,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment.
