Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Birmingham Heart Ball Director based in Birmingham, AL. The Director will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing the annual Birmingham Heart Ball event, one of the premier fundraising events of the American Heart Association. Key responsibilities include building and fostering relationships with donors, sponsors, and community leaders; recruiting and managing volunteers and committees; developing and implementing fundraising strategies; and ensuring the overall success of the event, including meeting financial goals and fostering community engagement.
Qualifications
Strong experience in Event Planning, Project Management, and Budget Management
Expertise in Fundraising Strategies, Sponsorship Development, and Relationship Management
Proven skills in Volunteer Recruitment, Team Coordination, and Leadership
Exceptional Communication, Negotiation, and Interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the nonprofit sector or previous experience in community fundraising events is a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
