Job Overview
Actively seeking an Events Specialist for a Temporary position with a top international law firm. This role will focus on planning and executing a range of internal and external events for the firm, including dinners, receptions, seminars and webinars, and will work closely with attorneys, marketing and business development teams, and vendors. This is a Temporary role expected to last six months. At least 3 years of experience in corporate event planning required.
Location & Schedule LOCATION: New York, NY (Midtown)
SCHEDULE: Hybrid | 4 days in the office / 1 day work from home
PAY: $30-45/hour (commensurate with experience)
Ideal Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required
3+ years of event planning experience in a law firm or professional services firm
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow‑through
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and webinar/event platforms; comfortable learning new tools
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams, with a proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset
Role Responsibilities
Plan and execute firm‑hosted and internal events from initial concept through post‑event follow‑up, ensuring alignment with business development goals
Manage event logistics including venue selection, vendor coordination, invitations, RSVP tracking, materials and on‑site execution
Develop and maintain event budgets, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings
Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to coordinate event strategy, timelines and communications
Oversee on‑site event operations, troubleshoot issues in real time, and ensure a seamless attendee experience
