A well-established general contractor on the Western Slope is seeking an experienced

Superintendent

to lead

commercial construction projects

in the Grand Junction area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on field leader who wants to work locally and take ownership of a diverse pipeline of projects ranging from ground-up builds to renovations and tenant improvements.

Position Overview The Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to manage multiple trades in a dynamic environment.

Project Types

Ground-up commercial construction

Healthcare facilities (clinics, medical office buildings)

Multifamily and mixed-use developments

Retail and restaurant projects

Education and municipal projects

Tenant improvements and renovations

Key Responsibilities

Lead all

field operations

from mobilization through project closeout

Develop and maintain

project schedules , including 3-week lookaheads

Coordinate and manage

subcontractors and trades on-site

Enforce

jobsite safety standards and company policies

Ensure

quality control

and adherence to plans and specifications

Collaborate with Project Managers on

budget, procurement, and scheduling

Lead

subcontractor meetings, site walks, and inspections

Identify and proactively resolve

field issues and conflicts

Manage punch lists, inspections, and project turnover

Qualifications

5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in

commercial construction

Experience with

ground‑up and/or renovation projects

Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site logistics

Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades

Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software

Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
