About Our Client Addison Group is working with a well-established healthcare organization that is currently undergoing a period of transition. To support increased patient volume and streamline billing processes, the team is seeking two experienced Patient Account Representatives to join their Centralized Business Office (CBO) in Bethesda, MD.
Industry Healthcare Revenue Cycle / Medical Billing
Pay $18-$25 per hour
Job Description The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for handling patient billing inquiries, managing high call and email volume, and resolving insurance and payment issues. This position is fully on-site and requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inbound calls and voicemails related to billing questions
Respond to patient emails and escalate complex inquiries as needed
Identify and resolve payment and adjustment discrepancies
Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and communicate findings to patients
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate billing
Maintain professionalism and empathy when assisting upset patients
Adapt to ongoing workflow changes as part of a team-driven environment
Qualifications
2+ years of revenue cycle or medical billing experience
Strong understanding of EOBs, insurance benefits, and billing workflows
Experience handling high call volumes and patient-facing follow-up
High school diploma or GED required (documentation must be provided)
Strong team player with the ability to work independently
Positive attitude, flexibility, and professionalism required
