Role Description This Fashion Designer Intern position is an on-site internship located in New York, NY. The intern will assist in designing and developing creative fashion concepts, working on designs, fabric and textile selection, and garment fitting. Additional tasks may include researching trends, creating mood boards, and supporting the team in executing design projects for various apparel collections and taking care of the showroom.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Fashion Design, including the ability to create original and innovative designs.
Must be well-versed with Flatknit drawings and Techpack
Knowledge of Textiles and Fabric selection, with an understanding of material properties and uses.
Experience with Embroidery techniques, including applying detailed designs to garments.
Proficiency in Fitting and garment construction processes to ensure proper sizing and functionality.
A passion for the fashion industry and a creative mindset, with an eagerness to learn and adapt.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines.
