
Shopper Marketing Manager

LHH is seeking a Shopper Marketing Manager for our client in the consumer packaged goods space. This role focuses on developing and executing shopper‑focused marketing programs in partnership with key retail accounts to drive product visibility, engagement, and sales. The ideal candidate brings experience working within CPG, collaborating closely with retailers, and activating marketing initiatives across the shopper journey. This is a full‑time, hybrid role based in the greater New York/New Jersey metro area.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute shopper marketing programs that support brand awareness, consideration, and purchase at retail
Partner with major retail accounts to activate marketing initiatives across physical and digital touchpoints
Support the planning and execution of retail marketing programs, promotional activity, and omnichannel activations
Manage budgets related to retail and shopper marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Analyze shopper behavior and performance data to assess effectiveness and optimize future programs
Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, sales, and insights teams to align on priorities and execution
Support digital and retail media activations tied to the shopper journey
Light travel occasionally to key retail partners to support planning, execution, and relationship management
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in shopper marketing, trade marketing, or related roles within CPG
Food & beverage experience preferred; CPG background required
Experience working directly with large retail partners on marketing programs
Strong understanding of the shopper journey and how marketing influences decision‑making
Experience managing budgets and tracking performance against objectives
Data‑driven approach with the ability to use insights to guide strategy
Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, retail‑driven environment
Salary: $120,000+ bonus opportunity
