FWI is building a team to provide graphic design, photography, Section 508 remediation, and related production services for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Public Affairs. As a Photographer, you will document a variety of events, locations, and people in support of DOL program missions and initiatives from the on-site Creative Services facility.

Position is contingent upon contract award**
Work Schedule and Location On-Site. This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm at DOL Frances Perkins Bldg in Washington, DC.
Photograph summits, meetings, retreats, external tours, internal DOL programs, individuals, passport photos, portraits, and other events as directed
Produce photographic sessions and stage participants for optimal photographic outcomes
Provide coverage of live events in a photojournalistic approach
Select and arrange auxiliary lighting when required
Select proper exposures and filters to achieve best results with professional digital cameras
Perform digital transfer and manipulation of images using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, and other specialized software
Replace DNG files with corrected images
Log, archive, and maintain event files in the Creative Services database, including tracking jobs, uploading photos to server, backing up photos, maintaining image bank, and adding keyword and IPTC metadata
Perform quality control inspections for critical or unique work
Track, fulfill, and distribute photo requests for the Department and external stakeholders as applicable
Required
10 years of experience photographing portraits, live stage events, and facility tours in a photojournalist manner
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat
Experience with a variety of professional digital photo cameras
Professional portfolio demonstrating competence in artistic use of cameras as well as camera setup and troubleshooting
Expertise working with Macintosh and personal computers, including fluency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
